2024 Order of Collingwood Recipients with Council

The Order of Collingwood is a time-honoured tradition, established in 1983, recognizing exemplary volunteerism within the community by individuals who enhance the social well-being, natural or cultural environment, or recreational character of the Town of Collingwood.

In 2003, the Companion of the Order of Collingwood was introduced to further recognize past Order recipients who, through their continued volunteer efforts, continue to go above and beyond in strengthening the community.

These awards celebrate the vital role of volunteers whose contributions make Collingwood an enviable place to live, work, and play.

Nomination Process & Requirements

The nominee must volunteer in the Town of Collingwood, to the primary benefit of the Collingwood community, and have received no remuneration or financial benefit from their volunteer service\

  • Nominees do not need to be residents of the Town of Collingwood, provided their volunteer contributions benefit the community and residents of the Town.
  • Nominee contributions must have been made on a continuous basis over a period of not less than two years (with the exception of youth volunteerism).
