The Town of Collingwood remains committed to providing a public transit system that meets the community's needs. Based on ridership data and ongoing feedback, the current Phase 1 on-demand transit model does not meet expectations and is not operating as intended.
Residents have consistently told the Town that they want a transit system that is safe, reliable, and easy to use, with a clear and predictable schedule. As such, weekend service on the Crosstown route will return to a fixed-route model, providing an accessible, dependable, and straightforward transit option for riders.
On-demand transit and ride booking services will be discontinued effective Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 11:00 p.m.
While the Blaise On-Demand App will no longer be used for regular transit service, the Blaise platform will continue to support TransitPlus Specialized Transit bookings. Riders requiring specialized transit services should continue to book trips by calling 705-446-1196.
We appreciate the valuable feedback from the community and thank residents for their continued support as we work to strengthen Collingwood's public transit system. Learn more about public transit in Collingwood on the Transit Page of this website.
