The Town of Collingwood has three off-leash dog recreation areas where dogs are permitted to be off leash, subject to certain rules designed to keep all users safe.

Pet Waste
Pet owners are required to immediately pick up after their dogs. Under Section 10.9 of the Town’s Responsible Pet Ownership By-law No. 2012-016, every dog owner must remove any excrement left by their dog on public or private property that is not their own and dispose of it in a sanitary manner.

Pet waste bag dispensers at Collingwood’s dog parks now provide compostable bags. Please take used bags home and place them in your Green Bin. Compostable pet waste bags should not be left in the park or placed in park garbage bins.
