The Town of Collingwood is considering a Zoning By-law Amendment for 29–45 Birch Street, and you’re invited to share your input at an upcoming Public Meeting.

What’s Being Proposed
The property at 29–45 Birch Street currently has two apartment buildings with 9 units in total. The application seeks approval to:
- Re-zone the property to permit a 3-storey, 30-unit apartment building
- Make site-specific zoning changes, including:
- Reducing the interior side yard from 7.5m to 3m
- Reducing landscaped open space from 40% to 37%
- Reducing visitor parking spaces from 8 to 7
- Allowing an accessory building in the front yard, closer to the street than the main building
How to Participate
- Attend the public meeting in person or virtually
- Submit verbal comments during the meeting
- Submit written comments to file manager Claire de Souza before Council makes a decision at a future meeting.
Please note: to have the right to appeal Council’s decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT), you must share your comments before Council makes its decision. The rights of third parties to appeal Zoning By-law Amendment decisions to the Ontario Land Tribunal have been restricted under the Planning Act.
