This spring, the Town launched a pilot project adding 90 temporary public parking spaces at Harbour House (31 Huron Street) to help ease downtown parking demand while the Downtown Parking Study is being completed. To support increased use of the public parking area, the Town is now offering a discounted monthly parking permit for Harbour House at just $10 plus tax per month.
The Harbour House Monthly Parking Permit provides an affordable, covered parking option within walking distance of downtown, and is intended for individuals who regularly require longer-duration parking in or near downtown. The new Permit offers a convenient alternative for those who park downtown on a regular basis while supporting the Town's broader parking strategy.
The Harbour House Permit will be valid only within the designated public parking area on P1 at Harbour House and will be offered until September 30, 2026, when the Town’s current agreement for the parking facility ends. The reduced rate reflects the temporary, location-specific nature of the Permit. Unlike the Town’s regular Monthly Downtown Parking Permit, which is valid in municipal parking lots throughout the downtown, the Harbour House Permit is valid only within the designated public parking area.
The Permit may be purchased through HotSpot or the Service Collingwood counter at Town Hall (97 Hurontario Street).
Important Notes
• Hourly public parking at Harbour House will continue to be available at the existing downtown rate of $1 per hour through HotSpot. (no maximum).
• Monthly Downtown Parking Permit holders may still park at Harbour House, as well as all other downtown municipal parking lots.
• Downtown paid parking is in effect Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
• Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchasing a permit authorizes parking at Harbour House but does not reserve or guarantee that space will be available.
This underground parking facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parking regulations are enforced by the Town of Collingwood’s By-law Enforcement Officers. As with other designated accessible parking spaces throughout the Town, accessible parking in this underground lot is free of charge.
By encouraging longer-term parkers to use Harbour House, more convenient on-street and municipal parking can remain available for customers, visitors and others making short trips downtown, helping support local businesses and a vibrant downtown core.
