The Town of Collingwood is considering a Draft Plan of Subdivision and you’re invited to share your input in writing. Please note that recent changes to the Planning Act no longer require municipalities to hold public meetings for Draft Plan of Subdivision applications.
What’s Being Proposed
The subject property is presently used for agricultural purposes. The subdivision application proposed to subdivide the property into blocks for residential purposes.
The Plan of Subdivision is proposed to consist of:
- five (5) blocks for thirty-three (33) residential townhouse dwelling units with four (4) to eight (8) units per block;
- two (2) trail blocks;
- one (1) open space block; and
- one (1) municipal street with connection to the southern end of Dey Drive at Kirby Avenue.

How to Participate
- Submit written comments to Senior Planner, Justin Teakle jteakle@collingwood.ca before Council makes a decision at a future meeting
To have the right to appeal Council’s decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT), you must share your comments before Council makes its decision. However, please note that the rights of third parties to appeal plans of subdivision decisions to the Ontario Land Tribunal have been restricted under the Planning Act.
