Application for Tree Destruction and or Cutting

Here is a link to the tree cutting application document and you are able to apply through our public portal after and it is completed and executed electronically. The public portal gives the ability to upload all the associated documents and pay for the proposal via credit card up to $5,000.00 after the application is accepted by planning administration. 

This application needs to be prepared in conjunction with Schedule A from the Tree Preservation and Protection By-law No. 2012-084.

Consult these links to determine if your property falls with the jurisdiction of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) or the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority (GSCA) additional fees and approvals may be necessary. It would be prudent to contact them in conjunction with this application.

The conditions required from developers for the protection of trees within Tree Protection Zones (TPZ) are stated herein.  Areas of tree protection may include lands designated Environmental Protection, Recreation, Rural or identified buffer areas, trees listed as endangered, threatened or at risk species, hedgerows, watercourses and embankments,tree canopies and roots extending from adjacent properties,  or any other area identified in the planning review and approval deemed appropriate by the municipality.

Application Fees: Our flat fee is non-refundable and payable upon submission of the application.   Consult the Treasury Departments landing page for the current Fees & Charges         The deposit fee will be reconciled at the end of the project, at the request of the payee, and the balance returned.
