Calling All Creative Collingwood Youth in Grades 11 and 12!
Become the Town of Collingwood's Youth Communications Ambassador for 2026/2027
Are you always up to date on the latest social media trends? Do you love creating reels, videos, memes, or online content? Want to earn volunteer hours while helping shape how the Town connects with local youth?
The Town of Collingwood is looking for a Youth Communications Ambassador (YCA) to help bring important Town programs, events, and initiatives to life through engaging, youth-focused content.
What's the Role?
As the Youth Communications Ambassador, you'll work with Town staff to help share information that matters to local youth.
You'll:
✅ Brainstorm creative content ideas with Town staff
✅ Help promote Town programs, events, and services that impact youth
✅ Create videos, reels, memes, and trend-based content
✅ Serve as a youth voice on the Town's social media channels
✅ Gain real-world communications and content creation experience
After all, who better to connect with local youth than their peers?
What's the Commitment?
- Program runs during the 2026/2027 school year (October 2026 to June 2027)
- Kick-off meeting at the beginning of the term
- Monthly check-ins with Town staff
- Content created approximately every two months, depending on the project

Who Can Apply?
We're looking for local youth in grades 11 or 12 who:
- Are creative and comfortable using social media
- Enjoy making videos, reels, memes, or other digital content
- Want to help inform and engage their peers
- Have an interest in community involvement and local issues
No professional experience required. We're looking for enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to share ideas.
