'The Masks We Wear' Art Event

‘The Masks We Wear’ is an art exhibit showcasing masks and a variety of visual works created by Pine River Institute youth, parents, and alumni.

Pine River provides an outdoor learning experience and live-in treatment for youth facing addiction and behaviour challenges, south of Collingwood in Hornings Mills.

A Celebration & Tour will be held on Friday, May 24 at 7:00pm. Ann Clifford, Pine River’s renowned art instructor will lead us through a tour of the masks and art, full of emotional impact. An inspiring video and presentations by Ann and Pine River student alumni will follow.

Refreshments will be served, and guests will be invited to support Pine River’s art program.

Masks are created at an advanced stage of the student’s healing journey. Parents and caregivers of students at Pine River also create masks as part of their therapeutic work for families.

Visitors will learn about the mask-making process, how it inspires the students and their families, and the many therapeutic benefits of hand made art.

Join us on May 24 at 7:00pm at the Pressroom Gallery or visit the exhibit May 1 – June 30, Wed – Sat noon – 5:00pm.
