Gordon Harrison, born in Montréal in 1953, discovered his love for art amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Laurentians. Pursuing this passion, he studied landscape architecture at the University of Toronto. Despite being primarily self-taught, he honed his skills at the Ottawa School of Art and drew inspiration from renowned artist Jean-René Richard. His book "The Colours of Canada" beautifully captures his lifelong dedication to portraying Canadian landscapes.

Harrison's unique style, often likened to the Group of Seven, has garnered international acclaim, with notable awards such as Best Solo Artist at the New York International Art Expo in 2016. His paintings, characterized by a blend of strength and subtlety, have found homes in collections worldwide, cementing his status as a prominent figure in Canadian art.

Currently based in Ottawa, Harrison continues to craft evocative representations of the Canadian wilderness, enriching the artistic legacy of his homeland.
