The Town of Collingwood is seeking young, passionate and creative artists to contribute to a community-centred art project that celebrates connection, diversity and shared stories. This is an opportunity to use your voice and vision to highlight what “community” means to you.

Theme: Our Community – Together We Create

Whether it is neighbours supporting neighbours, cultural traditions passed down through generations or the everyday beauty of people coming together, we want to showcase the power and heart of community.

Who can apply:
Open to all students in Grades 7 through 12 who attend school in Collingwood area.

Details:
All entries submitted must be completely original works made by the applying artist. 
Photos of original works of art such as paintings, sculptures, mixed media designs as well as digital creations and photography will be considered. Entries must be sent in as high resolution (2MB) JPEG images and be in landscape orientation.
*Artwork images may be used for multiple purposes by the Town of Collingwood eg. photo backdrops, website and social platforms, print marketing materials, etc. All acknowledgement of the artist and their work will appear when their image is used.

If a submission is chosen, the artist will receive a complimentary student transit pass for one year and a Terminals Point hooded sweatshirt!

How to Submit:
Send entries via email to artsandculture@collingwood.ca with the following:

•    Use the Subject Line: (Artist’s Name) 2025 Summer Backdrop – Youth Art Contest  
•    Up to three (3) high resolution JPEG images (2MB) of original artworks in landscape orientation
•    Include titles of artworks, a short biography, and contact information

Updated Deadline: Friday, June 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
