
The Town is pleased to announce that Collingwood’s Economic Development team received an award and Honorable Mention from the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) during the President's Dinner and Awards Ceremony held on April 7, 2022, in Toronto. Comedian and performer, Darrin Rose hosted the evening and presented awards with honourable mentions to outstanding initiatives from across the province.
“At the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) awards, the Town of Collingwood was recognized twice for its achievements in the past year," announced Brennan Kenny, Manager of Economic Development for the Town of Collingwood.
The Town, along with the Collingwood Downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA), won the award for Tourist Attraction & Tourism Product Development for communities under 100,000 population. The project recognized was Patiolicious: Taste and Toast Collingwood’s Great Outdoors.
Collingwood also received an Honourable Mention in the category of Community Economic Development, for communities under 100,000 population. The project recognized under this category was the wonderful Digital Main Street Expansion project led and executed through the Small Business Enterprise Centre regionally.

“There were 88 submissions from across the province for the awards, so to be recognized twice is quite an achievement,” says Manager Kenny.
