The Collingwood Climate Action Team, in partnership with the Town of Collingwood, is thrilled to announce EarthFest, a dynamic Earth Day celebration set to take place on Saturday, April 20th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Collingwood Curling Club.
Uniting our community for Earth Day - EarthFest 2024 offers an engaging platform to celebrate the remarkable progress achieved while inspiring action for a sustainable future in our beautiful South Georgian Bay region.

Attendees can look forward to an array of enriching activities, including local environmental initiatives, interactive opportunities for community input on fostering sustainability and engaging family-friendly activities focused on climate pollution awareness.
The event kicks off with a special Opening Ceremony featuring an Earth Day proclamation by Mayor Yvonne Hamlin and the unveiling of the Earth Day flag for 2024 designed by a local youth. The festivities continue with a captivating poetry reading by Jillian Morris, Poet Laureate, and live music by The Collingwood School of Music.
Highlights of the main event include informational booths showcasing local environmental groups and Members of Town Council and Town staff engaging attendees with information on green initiatives. Families can enjoy the Kids Zone, offering entertaining and educational activities centred around climate pollution and environmental awareness, and they can take part in the circular economy by donating and/or shopping at the Toy Swap and Shop organised by Joyful Homes. Attendees will also have exciting opportunities to win prizes and engage in citizen-centred activities, including a survey on what they love about living in South Georgian Bay.
Delicious baked goods and beverages will be available for purchase, making it a delightful outing for all attendees.
