Notice of Public Meeting and Complete Application Concerning a Proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment

Take Notice that the Council of the Town of Collingwood will hold a public meeting on Monday
February 5, 2024, on or about 5:00 p.m.

Any members of the public may attend in person (Council Chambers, 97 Hurontario Street,
Collingwood) or virtually by Zoom webinar to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
under Section 34 of the Planning Act.

The public meeting will take place during the regular Committee of the Whole meeting, which is
scheduled to commence following the Council meeting. For those attending virtually, a link to the
webinar will be included on the February 5, 2024 Council/Committee of the Whole agenda. Council
and Committee of the Whole meeting agendas are located on the CivicWeb Portal or
subscribe to receive an automatic email to meeting agendas.

This application has been deemed to be a complete submission under Section 34(10.4) of the
Planning Act.

Location: 500 Hume Street, Collingwood
Legal Description: Part of Lot 42, Concession 7; Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe
Area: 1.7 hectares

The subject property is located on the south side of Hume Street and the east side of Raglan Street. There
are two existing hotels on the subject property and the proposed development is located on the northwest
corner of the property.

The Purpose and Effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to amend the Business Park
Industrial Exception Two (M4-2) zoning provisions to permit one (1) restaurant with a maximum size
equal to the lesser of 50% of the gross floor area of the building or 475 square metres on the subject
lands.

Any person may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in
support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

If a person or public body would otherwise have the ability to appeal the decision of Council of the
Town of Collingwood to the Ontario Land Tribunal, but the person or public body does not make oral
submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Collingwood before the
by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written
submissions to the Town of Collingwood before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may
not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the
opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

If you are the owner of any land that contains seven or more residential units, please post this notice in
a location that is visible to all the residents.
