Original notice posted at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2025
With the significant rainfall received in Collingwood overnight and continuing today, the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is seeing high flows this morning and is currently experiencing a partial treatment bypass, which started at 8:41 a.m. We expect this partial bypass to continue on and off all weekend.
All wastewater is going through the WWTP and being disinfected by UV or chlorine, with monitoring, testing and reporting being completed as required. The Town will provide further details on the partial bypass on Monday, when we expect the event to be over.
