WHEREAS, The Collingwood Music Festival was formed in 2019 and is now about to present its fifth season of world class music; and
WHEREAS, The goal of the Festival is to inspire an appreciation of live music in South Georgian Bay through exceptional performances; and
WHEREAS, The Festival brings together local, national, and international musicians many of whom are award winners; and
WHEREAS, Our artistic director, Daniel Vnukowski has performed in the world’s greatest music halls with many of the world’s most accomplished musicians and is bringing them to Collingwood; and
WHEREAS, The Collingwood Music Festival will offer citizens of all ages, the opportunity to experience this wonderful music during a weeklong series of concerts, the first two of which will be held at Millennium Park, a majestic setting overlooking our iconic harbor and terminals. These opening concerts, entitled ‘Summer Serenades’ will be followed by six additional performances at First Presbyterian Church.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Yvonne Hamlin, Mayor of the Town of Collingwood,
DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of July 5th to 12th, 2024 as “Collingwood Musical Festival Week” in the Town of Collingwood.
