WHEREAS, The International Kidney Cancer Coalition has declared Thursday, June 20, 2024 to be World Kidney Cancer Day; and
WHEREAS, Kidney Cancer Canada is affiliated with the above-mentioned organization; and
WHEREAS, Kidney Cancer Canada is a national community of patients, caregivers and health professionals who work to provide every Canadian touched by kidney cancer with support, education and advocacy for their care pathways and treatment options; and
WHEREAS, Kidney Cancer Canada is the only Canadian national charitable patient and caregiver organization solely focused on kidney cancer.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Yvonne Hamlin, Mayor of the Town of Collingwood,
DO HEREBY PROCLAIM June 20, 2024 as “World Kidney Cancer Day” in the Town of Collingwood.
