Through the Town’s commitment to asset management preservation Council has made road resurfacing a priority by increasing the annual road resurfacing budget for 2024 from $300K to $2M!
The work which commenced in June is progressing well and Public Works is aiming for substantial completion by the end of July. Partial lane closures may be required during the construction. Please be cautious and reduce speeds on the following roads after they have been resurfaced to avoid damage.

- Georgian Manor Lane – Georgian Manor Drive to end of road (South/East limit)
- Georgian Manor Drive – Huronia Pathway to Lakeview Avenue
- Robert Avenue – Highway 26 to Saint Clair Street
- Glen Rogers Road – Saint Clair Street to Saint Clair Street (Full loop)
- South Service Road & MacDonald Road – Pretty River Parkway to End of

The 2024 road resurfacing schedule was determined by using the Town’s Road Pavement Condition Index (PCI), in a continued progression to complete the worst sections first where practical. PCI is a pavement condition assessment that looks at many factors including surface stress, cracking, potholes, age, drivability, and traffic volume.
Road assessments and budgeting for 2025 are currently underway.
