The Town of Collingwood recognizes and appreciates the achievements and leadership of local women all year long and would like to celebrate this week, in lead to International Women's Day, March 8. Here are some ways you can learn about local leaders and celebrate women in Collingwood this week:
- Visit the Collingwood Museum at 45 St. Paul Street to see the Women in Local History Exhibit all week long!
- International Women's Day - One Decision Away at the Collingwood Public Library, Friday, March 8 from 2 - 4:00 p.m. Join 12 local Collingwood women authors who through one decision changed the course of their lives. They will discuss their recently released collaborative book, One Decision Away, and the inspiring stories that changed their lives. Please bring a non perishable item or donation for our Library Pantry.
- Join us for the International Women’s Day Flag Raising at 4:00 p.m., Friday March 8 at the Community Flag Pole in front of the Library & Municipal Offices, 55 Ste. Marie Street.
- The Town Hall Clock Tower and CWOOD sign will be lit purple March 8-17, 2024.
