The Trails and Active Transportation Advisory Committee supports the planning, development, and stewardship of Collingwood's trails, multi-use pathways, cycling routes, and active transportation network.
The Committee works collaboratively with Engineering Services, Parks, Recreation and Culture staff, and the Accessibility Advisory Committee to help promote safe, connected, and accessible transportation options throughout the community.
The Committee provides recommendations to Council on policies, programs, and initiatives that support the Town's strategic priorities.

Advocate for, advise upon and aid in prioritizing improvements for AT visibility and safety - Painting and signage for cross-rides and multi-use pathways
Advocate for, help develop and help deliver a public education campaign for cross-rides and multi-use pathways
Participate in the public reviews of the Master Mobility and Transportation Plan, including:
The definitions of Active Transportation (versus trails)
The proposed Active Transportation Routes and approach
Propose a future map and vision to further complete the Town’s Trails network
Advocate for and provide input to and reviews of a new version of the paper Trails Map and the digital interactive map
Assisted with the planning of Major Trail Projects: Hen and Chickens Bridge, Repave and widen Georgian Trail within Harbourview Park, extend Cranberry Marsh Trail Boardwalk
Highlighted areas where pedestrian crossings were needed, with a focus on High Street and Plewes/Findlay Drive
Prepared the Share the Road Bicycle Friendly Application to retain Silver Designation
