The Town of Collingwood is proposing updates to its Planning, Building, and Development Engineering fees, and wants your feedback at an upcoming public meeting.

What’s Being Proposed
The Town recently completed a Development Process and Fees Review to ensure that application fees reflect reasonable costs and follow the principle that “growth pays for growth.” Based on this review, the Town is proposing updates to fees for:
- Planning Act applications. View the proposed Planning Fees.
- Development engineering (e.g., technical reviews, inspections, etc.). View the proposed Development Engineering Fees
- Building permits. View the existing Building Permit Fees: Schedule A, Building By-law No. 2019-39, proposed 2026 Building Permit Fees, and Building Permit Fee Comparison Table.
A presentation at the public meeting and a published staff report(s) will elaborate on the proposed changes.

- Attend the public meeting in person or online on October 6, 2025
- Submit written comments by email.

- Council will consider the comments and decide at a future meeting, no earlier than November 3, 2025.
