February 7, 2024

Art on the Street showcases our community spirit through artistic expression and makes our downtown area more vibrant and unique!  Best of all, it’s an “outdoor gallery” that is accessible and free for all to enjoy!

This year Downtown Collingwood will come alive with the return of the art banners on the light poles and the popular (and comfortable) art chairs.  The Art Chairs will be proudly displayed in several public spaces throughout the downtown core.  The Art Banners will create an outdoor gallery along the downtown streets featuring artwork in a variety of mediums including stained glass, jewellery, wood carvings, sculpture, photography, pottery, painting, and more.

The program will launch on the May long weekend and will be presented throughout the spring, summer, and fall until Thanksgiving weekend.  All successful submissions will be featured in a print brochure that will be distributed across the region and will include the artist’s name, website, and link/contact information. This brochure will also be available digitally.

The Town of Collingwood and the Collingwood Downtown Business Improvement Area invite visual artists to submit designs and images to Collingwood Art on the Street 2024.  There is no fee to enter and all submissions will be juried by a panel for creativity, originality, and artistic balance.

Complete details and applications for both the Art Chair and Art Banner submissions are available at www.collingwooddowntown.com or by contacting artsandculture@collingwood.ca
